Week 13…..The hex maybe upon us
Will the Colts, Vikings and Saints continue to roll? Logic says yes, but the HEX of week 13 says no. So who will fall….the Colts, Vikings and Saints in that order. If Warner doesn’t play, then the Saints pass up the Vikes. I really doubt that all of the super elite can win in week 13, not that I am superstitious or anything like that.
The Bucs at the Panthers and the Rams at my mighty Bears are two of the under rated games this week. They have 10 wins and 34 losses between the four of them. They have 66 interceptions against them and only 42 take aways in the air. The only thing that stands between Dellhome and a new interception record is Jake Cutler and the finger that D’s coach broke on his hand. Why would anyone start a QB named Jake? They have 39 interceptions against them in only 24 games. Brady, Peyton, Drew, Farve and Rodgers have 36 in 60 games. Wonder why the Bears and Panthers are going to be home this January?
Other deep thoughts this week revolve around the Texans and Jaguars. Can the Texans play 60 minutes at a high enough level to keep their dim playoff hopes alive? They are the best 30 minute team in football. The Jags are generally good if the game is close. However, losing 41-0 to the Seahawks and 20-3 to the 49er’s make you wonder how they won 6 games this season. I guess the schedule and the 2 two last name guys help. The guys with two last names have scored 114 out of 202 points for the Jags this year. Just think, 41 or more one last name guys have averaged less than 3 points a game. If you were a GM for the Jags who would you look for in this years draft, Mr. Single name or Mr. Hyphenated? Maybe they could find someone with three last names and have a super, super, super star!!!!
Other intesting facts include, no wins on the road for the Lions, since the Cubs won a pennant. Good news for the Bengals’ fans. The 49er’s are the only team with a losing record to out score their opponents. Finally, only four teams have scored between 300 and 345 points this year; the Colts, Chargers, Patriots and Vikings. The Saints have scored 407 points and have a point differential of plus 186!!! My Bears are only minus 45, not too bad all things considered.
Good luck this weekend and GO Bears!!!!
