Yep if injuries are enough the boys start their R&R this weekend. Be aware and check the waiver wire early if you have to due to injuries and byes combined.
Last week in Head to Head matches FSO’s teams won 2/3 of their matches. Lost one by1 point and won one by 1 point.
Good news as Falcco continued to do well as a second QB. Other big scorers included Jones-Drew and Peyton and the ever impressive Kevin Kolb of the Eagles.
This is the week that starts the second phase of the fantasy season and will determine which teams have a good chance to win their league in the final stretch following the bye weeks.
Good luck!!!

Well, after 3 weeks we see that Arizona, Carolina and Tennesee are all winless. Heck ,Detroit has more victories than those three teams combined. Who would have thought that. My favorite team continued using their invisible field goal deflecter man. Yep, the Bears won again as the invisible man pushed two more field goals wide. What a Guy.
Flacco and Big Ben continue on their merry way as due the Manning boys, Brees, Brady and that kid on the Jets. Even Cutler is starting to heat up now.
Running backs are all over the place with injuries changing the lineups and last years heroes are not consistent yet. We expect that they will be soon.
Receivers are also having an unusual start with TO being shutout in week 3 and Jennings in week 2. On top of that Steve Smith of the Giants is going great guns, while the more famous Smith of Carolina is not doing much.
Week 4 should see some more excitment especially with the Bears stomping Detroit, while Green Bay and Minnesota go at it. Big fun in the black and blue division.
Other big games include SD at Pit; Jets At NO and Bal at NE. All have major fantasy implications.
Go Bears!!!!

Well, last week at FSO we were only about 50-50. We expect much better results this week and hope to surpass week 1 fine results.
This week there are many intriguing matchups with the old guard (Patriots) playing the new kids on the block (Falcons).
This is a real chance for the Falcon fantasy stars to make a big positive or negative impression. I think that Tony, Ryan, Turner and White will do well. The question is how will Tom do….350 yards, 3 touchdowns or more? Select your teams and go with Data Sense and your gut.
Good luck and let us know how you are doing.

Week 2 was interesting with a few runners going wild, but losing. Then, of course, we had the Bears victory over the bad guys from the Pitts, led by the now resurgent Cutler, who won because Reed couldn’t kick straight. Such is life.
Good news for some fantasy players and great news for someone called Sweetness. The original Sweetness was truly a great player, while the present day one is a Blogger!!! What a comedown!!!
Never the less, week 3 promises more surprises and let’s hope the re-emergence of Slaton and Forte.
They say matchups are the most important thing in fantasy football and if that is true get your Packers and Ravens in your lineups.
Good luck and gooooo Bears!!!!

For the 2009 football season, FSO has improved it’s formula that calculates the FSO score and player rankings. The formula now adjusts for logarithms using a constant of integration (as first put forth by mathematician Brook Taylor). The result is more accurate scores for those players that have, as part of their calculation, logarithms near one which otherwise can skew results. You may notice scores will be lower than last year’s because of this change.

Well, FSO’s teams won a lot more than they lost. However, those of us who thought that Cutler was a sharp knife found out that it wasn’t to be in week 1. Sweetness says that he will rise to the occasion against those mean and nasty guys from Pittsville or where ever. Let’s hope so.
Back to week 1, some good info from FSO had me playing Carlson and Flacco….that equates to victories!!!!
Goooo Bears!!

We learned that Big Ben and Eli are(were) hot and Cutler and Warner were not. Let’s review the latest Data Sense projections for week 2 and see if a lineup change is needed. We know though that the first week can be a fooler.
AP and Cadillac went beyond expectations while Slaton and Forte were not up to snuff.
The same is true for many receivers, kickers etc.
We won many Head to Head Matchups along with good scores in salary cap leagues, so overall it was a good start.
Data Sense was a big help!!!
Good luck in week 2!!
